Louie is the Co-Founder of the Living In Place Institute and passionate about helping people make their homes accessible, comfortable and safe. His early career included 22 years in advanced research and development for medical and analytical devices. Recognized by the prestigious International R&D 100 Award for Advanced Technologies Louie has been awarded many related patents. In 2004, Louie founded US Safety Pros, providing services in over 3,000 homes from childproofing, radon testing and mitigation, through home accessibility and home safety and was published in USA Today. A devoted husband and father, Louie lives just outside Boulder, Colorado with his wife and their three whippet racing dogs!

Erik, as Co-Founder of the Living In Place Institute, is committed to helping people live in homes that are accessible, comfortable and safe. His $100M+ career spans 50 years in both commercial and residential construction and renovation. Erik has been recognized through national certifications and leadership awards. His energy and skills have focused for decades through industry and consumer education through presentations, radio, television and print, most recently in the NY Times. Now, through the Living In Place Institute he brings his energy and knowledge to the forefront of industry and consumer attention. Erik and his wife live in the mountains of Colorado and enjoy visiting with thousands of children, of all ages, during the December holidays.
