Judy Kay Frieder, CEAC, CSA, ECHMP, CLIPP

 
Judy Kay Frieder, Certified Environmental Access Consultant, (CEAC), Certified Senior Advisor (CSA), Executive Course in Home Modifications Professional (ECHMP), and Certified Living In Place Professional (CLIPP) is an accomplished living and aging in place professional with more than 20 years of experience in Construction and Durable Medical Equipment, Healthcare and Behavioral Health Services, Management, Marketing, Job Coaching and Teaching Computer Literacy Classes.  She currently teaches Home Modification and Accessibility as well as networking and marketing to franchisees at HandyPro International.
 
Judy has a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, and is certified to teach the Living Well With a Disability Course by the University of Montana.  Judy has performed numerous in home accessibility evaluations for home modifications.  She has also provided education for Fall Prevention & Aging in Place and served on the Arizona Governor’s Office on Aging, Fall Prevention Committee for several years. 
 
Judy managed the programs for two cities in Arizona to provide home accessibility modifications using Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds.  She also worked at the largest Center for Independent Living in the country, Ability 360.  At Ability 360 she performed in home evaluations for people on Arizona Long Term Care to provide modifications so that people could remain independent in their homes as long as possible and avoid the alternative of moving to a skilled nursing facility.  Judy performed over 1000 of these evaluations and managed up to $75,000 a month of construction.  Judy interviewed the clients, caregivers, OT’s and PT’s; measured and took pictures of the jobs, wrote the job specifications, put the jobs out to bid, chose the contractors, then followed the jobs to completion and through warranty and dealt with change orders and payment.
 
Prior to that Judy owned a Handyman Network franchise from 2002 to the end of 2006.  She built this business from nothing to over a million dollars in labor only sales in less than three years through her networking efforts.
